System Clean Up

Over time, I have installed countless packages that I've only ever used a few times. They're taking up valuable disk space and I want to get rid of them. What's the easiest way to list all major applications on the system so I can look through and remove the ones I don't want? I have 547 installed packages, taking up over 2 GB space. I'm running on a compact flash drive and need all the space I can get.
