Openbox autostart doesn't run

I'm just trying OpenBox for the first time, but my autostart.sh doesn't execute. I created and chmod'ed my ~/.config/openbox/autostart.sh script, but it's not being run on start-up (adding a "touch ~/try" line confirms this). Any possible explanations why?

Run openbox with 'openbox-session'?

Re: Openbox autostart doesn't run

How does your autostart.sh look? Some apps will crash if started too early (before openbox is effectively started). Try to use (sleep 2 && command) & constructs.

Re: Openbox autostart doesn't run

Hm, never mind, apparently I made a mistake in copying my autostart.sh from one machine to another and failed to include my test "touch test" line when I tried using openbox-session; so using openbox-session works.

I also had a typo for my $AUTOGLOBALSTART variable.

Problem solved.
