I have alsoe installed the alsa utitls. Turned up all volumes in the alsa-mixer and tried to play an mp3 with alsaplayer. Still no sound.
I have tried to bot into windows and made sure that it's not muted there and that my "acpi"-keys is not turning it off. Same problem.

I have tried:

cat /etc/fstab | /dev/dsp

And it still quiet.

I have looked at the wikipage for my laptop but it looks like old instructions. If i try to load the alsa module in /etc/rc.conf i get an error saying that it doesn't exist.
Any ideas?

[EDIT] I am trying to play through mpd and have tried uncommenting the alsa section and the oss section, i have also tried to let mpd try to conf it. It doesn't say anything, ncmpc is telling me that it is playing and i have turned up the volume there too.
