Wireless Problem

Guys i am newbie i have just installed arch and love it, however i have a small problem with wireless

first of all i want to give you additional information that i think help you to help me in order to solve th problem

i have intel pro wireless 4965 and iwl4965 module

i can see the networks when i scan the network with iwlist wlan0 scan
i have a wireless profile
netcfg2 is already installed

when i activate the related profile, i can see the correct ip block, dns, gateway, broadcast address etc. However cant ping anywhere even the host is in my network. for example my ip 2.8 cant ping 2.2 and naturally cant enter the internet

how can i fixed that ?

Is your network static? If not, does netcfg2 get you an IP with DHCP? Can you ping external IPs (i.e. not on your LAN)?

i tried both static and dhcp parameters with my profile file and cant ping local and wide hosts

If you cannot ping local hosts either (by IP), are you getting an IP at all? Does ifconfig report the interface as being up?

as i told you my first post i can get the ip addresses correctly and my wep pass is also correct however cant ping it is very strange and cant solve it

i have the same wifi chip, installed the module iwl4965, networkmanager and nm-applet, modprobe iwl4965 and start the daemon /etc/rc.d/networkmanager and start the nm-applet as root (unless you are in the network user group, then it should work, at least it does for me.

nm-applet cant find the db? how can i install ?

i installed networkmanager and commanded modprobe  iwl4965
