i was wondering why xorg-xserver as dependecy --> xcursor-themes ....doesnt he as a default one?

It seems that as of xorg-server 1.4.0.90-9: nope. I've looked at
pacman -Ql xorg-serverand
pacman -Ql xcursor-themesand there were no cursors in xorg-server package.
EDIT: I've found out that really needed cursor (the default one) is in the package xorg-fonts-misc.

X doesn't need an XCursor cursor to draw the cursor. It has a fairly large set of built-in cursors (see the list in '/usr/include/X11/cursorfont.h' and switch using 'xsetroot -cursor_name foo'). The Starship Enterprise is my favorite. ![]()
So yeah, that's probably an unneeded dependency.

That's true. X don't need xcursor to draw the cursor but to locate and load it.
I'm not sure if the "built-in" is a good word… I think "bundled" would be better
(/usr/share/fonts/misc/cursor.pcf.gz belonging to xorg-fonts-misc).
