Re: package question

It seems that as of xorg-server 1.4.0.90-9: nope. I've looked at

pacman -Ql xorg-server

and

pacman -Ql xcursor-themes

and there were no cursors in xorg-server package.

EDIT: I've found out that really needed cursor (the default one) is in the package xorg-fonts-misc.

It's not the best thing when they call you a "member" you know… wink

Re: package question

X doesn't need an XCursor cursor to draw the cursor. It has a fairly large set of built-in cursors (see the list in '/usr/include/X11/cursorfont.h' and switch using 'xsetroot -cursor_name foo'). The Starship Enterprise is my favorite. wink

So yeah, that's probably an unneeded dependency.

That's true. X don't need xcursor to draw the cursor but to locate and load it.

I'm not sure if the "built-in" is a good word… I think "bundled" would be better wink (/usr/share/fonts/misc/cursor.pcf.gz belonging to xorg-fonts-misc).

I like the trek too smile.
