Okay, I am trying to do a full system upgrade (my last full upgrade having been a couple of weeks ago).
But pacman is giving me errors like:
resolving dependencies...
error: cannot resolve "glib2>=2.16.3", a dependency of "libsoup"
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: libsoup: requires glib2>=2.16.3First I got the error with libsoup, so I manually upgraded glib2, then upgraded libsoup with
pacman -Syd libsoup... so then I got the dependency error with pango. No doubt this will continue with every package that depends on glib2. Well, so I checked the installed version of glib2:
pacman -Q glib2
glib2 2.16.2-1So indeed that package appears to be out of date. I thought it might be a mirror problem, so I tried commenting out the first entry in /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist (which was mirrors.easynews.com). No change. Then I commented out everything above ftp.archlinux.org; still no change. Any idea what the problem might be?

pacman -Syyuwas the solution. Guess I should have R'ed the FM before posting. Sorry folks. Move on, nothing to see here.
