Gedit Plugin missing a dependancy

I was having trouble getting the gedit plugin Snippets to work on my XFCE4 system.  I figured out after some google searches, that you need to have the "gnome-python" package installed.  I presume it should be a dependency since the snippets plugin comes with the base gedit install.  I'm not quite sure where I should report this, so I thought I'd put it in the forum.
