Guild Wars Unrecoverable Graphics Error

Hello, I'm having issues running Guild Wars under Wine.  I even upgraded to wine 0.9.60 without any luck fixing the issue.

When I run guild wars, it crashes after loading the Arena Net window, but before the Guild Wars Login window appears.  I get a dialog box stating:
"Guild wars has encountered an unrecoverable graphics error and must terminate"

I've tried switching to win98 in winecfg, as well as a number of command line options.  The most recent command I've been trying is:

[aaron@MyRoom ~]$ wine explorer /desktop=name,800x600 "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -windowed -noshaders -nosound

I use wine explorer to prevent it from crashing X everytime.  I've tried without it as well.

I'm running arch32 with wine 0.9.60, ATI catalyst 8.3-2.  AMD64 3000+, ATI Radeon 9600Pro

I can play FPS's such as Tremulous just fine, so my graphics drivers seem to be working.

I can play it fine. I am using the suse-wine build from aur
here is the snippet from yaourt

aur/wine-suse 0.9.60-5 [0.9.60-4 installed]
    An open-source implementation of the Windows API. i686 version based on bin32-wine-suse.
works fine, a little choppy but playable.

[Edit:]  I used to use Cedega, but these days I use CrossOver Games, which works fantastically well, & they are also the prime developers of Wine.  CrossOver is how they get money to live their lives.
