There shouldn't be any reason to learn more editor types than emacs or vi -- mg (1)

Nope it's pixmap for cleaner tabs smaller panel etc with optional mist, looks best with smaller fonts. - emerald included

It's ncmpc a curses client for mpd grab ncmpc-svn from aur as the default ncmpc in pacman isn't compiled with clock enabled.
