Just read your config-.hs and I'd like to try this out soon but... I'm new to xmonad (must be darcs) and wasn't able to figure out that IME though, it just doesn't look like scim. so what is it and how did you get it to work with xmonad?

Nope it's pixmap for cleaner tabs smaller panel etc with optional mist, looks best with smaller fonts. - emerald included

It's ncmpc a curses client for mpd grab ncmpc-svn from aur as the default ncmpc in pacman isn't compiled with clock enabled.
