VLC + Xvideo + green line

Hello all,
I am experiencing problems with vlc player, more specific movies in xvid format all play with a green horizontal line under the movie. This line is not apparent when movies play in mplayer.
Anyone experiencing this same problems?

yeah i have the same issue as long as i can remember.. but i never thought much of it.. i didn't bother me that much but if there is a fix i would be interested

You may be able to stop this by changing your output driver.
