noob question about system upgrade

I upgraded the system and then I did pacman -Syu again and it says error: config file /etc/pacman.d/core couldnt be read
same with extra, community and unstable.

Yes I put yes for all and now when it finished and I tried to put packages it failed so I did pacman -Syu again and it couldnt read the config file

update your pacman.conf . the "new" pacman package has new configuration: only one mirrorlist.

with update i mean pacman.conf.pacnew  . rename it to pacman.conf and check /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
