Amarok problems

I found this post in the desktop thread (http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=46474) and I'm having a very similar problem. Amarok starts when my computer starts. Sometimes the icon shows up, sometimes it doesnt. If I try to play music, it sometimes freezes for 30 or more seconds, then finally kicks in and starts playing. My global shortcuts use the windows key, and when amarok freezes, it seems like it keeps the windows key down. I can no longer type anything, and my mouse can move around on the screen, but can't click anything.

Try checking the amarok bug tracker for this issue.  Maybe someone has posted a patch or a workaround.
