[solved] Disable pcspeaker

Salut,

trying to disable the pcspeaker of my notebook. Unloading pcspkr via

modprobe -r pcspkr

works for the current session. How to disable it permanently?

Thanks in advance,

Stefan

Re: [solved] Disable pcspeaker

Blacklist the module in /etc/rc.conf

e.g.

MOD_BLACKLIST=(pcspkr)

Re: [solved] Disable pcspeaker

MOD_BLACKLIST is depreciated.  Adding "!pcspkr" the the MODULES array is the new way to do this.

Re: [solved] Disable pcspeaker

Adding !pcspkr to the MODULES-line works perfectly.

Thank you both,

Stefan
