Convert *.ppt -> *.pdf from comandline?

I have to convert lots of stupid ppts into pdf. Yes I can open file after file and press convert but it is boring. maybe there is some kind of CLI tool to convert them all automaticaly?

I don't have python in my openoffice's folder (/usr/lib/openoffice)

Is there another way ?

I'm also aware of the post date but I still need a small and lightweight solution to quickly convert ppt and pptx files into a pdf.

Saying that, libreoffice is no alternative for me. Can anybody help me out?
