All Capitals in Webbrowsers, firefox, swiftfox, epiphany

Well I installed firefox, swiftfox, and epiphany and in all of them, on most web pages, everything is in capitals sad I checked the font settings via the menu in each and there all configured right... Does anyone know the fix?

Thanks,
bladdo

Does the same thing occur in a text mode web browser like links or lynx or some other non-web based application?

Could your DE/WM have a default font set, overriding what your browsers are set to? Maybe the font you are choosing doesn't have a lowercase character set, I think some artwiz-fonts don't. Maybe you don't have the browsers default fonts installed?

Save the following in file and try to view it

Specify explicitly a known good font you have on the system

<html><head><title></title><meta content="">
<style>
div {font-family : "Nimbus sans L"}
</style></head>
<body>
<div>Well I installed firefox, swiftfox, and epiphany and in all of th</div></body></html>

Does it happen in non-gecko graphical browser too ?

If you open a new user and login with it does it happen too ?

Tried a bundle of different DEs and WMs with no difference.  I'm using Verdana... What fonts should I install?

That webpage gives normal text, but say if  I go to google, everything is caps, and most pages everything is caps.

Tried on root, no difference.
