Hi
Im currently using Bitlbee as my msn-client, im having trouble transmitting some unicode-chars. I can receive these -> øæå chars, type them my self BUT! They dont look like that on the other windows computer on live messenger. Its really enoying, just for fun i testet chatting localy on my computer between bitlbee and tmsnc. This works, the letters works fine. So it seams the problem is for other people to decode my chars, wchich is stupid! Because i can see the chars when they type them, they just cant see them when i do.
Dont know if its related, urxvt wont show these letters either, xterm will. So i believe the settings in rc.conf is correct.
Is there a bug hiding somewhere? Amsn wont show these chars either, execpt from that they work fine on the rest of the system. Even outside of X.
It doesnt really bother me to much, but people on msn hate me because this doesnt work haha.

hi, are you sure that msn live supports unicode encoding?
for urxvt try adding:
URxvt.imLocale: it_IT.UTF-8
(with your locale ) on ~/.Xdefaults
bye!

Did you configure the charset of you IRC client? If no, consult the appropriate documentation.
And for bitlbee, you have to type this to enable UTF-8:
set charset utf-8
