Gnome Hibernate - Different from /usr/sbin/hibernate

If I run /usr/sbin/hibernate, which is configured to use ususpend, I have no problems suspending or resuming.

However, if I use Gnome's hibernate buttons (or the automatic hibernate when running out of power), it seems to do something entirely different that leaves my swap partition corrupted and requiring a cold boot. (mkswap / swapon fixes the swap issue, and then hibernate works OK)

I think this has something to do with pm-utils, but all the searches I have conducted have yielded no solutions.

How do I make Gnome do /usr/sbin/hibernate, instead of whatever its doing now (kernel suspend?)

Hi!

I suggest you to replace the " /usr/lib/hal/scripts/hal-system-power-hibernate " script whit this one :
