CPU frequency scaling problem

I am trying to use cpu-freq util following this http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Beg … cy_scaling

The problem I encounter is that I can't use the acpi-cpufreq module. It gives me error saying that it couldn't find that module. My cpu is AMD turion 64, and I have no idea what driver/module is supposed to be used with. Is there anyway to find out?

Re: CPU frequency scaling problem

"Most modern notebooks and desktops can simply use the acpi-cpufreq driver, however other options include the p4-clockmod, powernow-k6, powernow-k7, powernow-k8, and speedstep-centrino drivers."

Taken from: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Cpufrequtils

And I'm assuming you've installed cpufrequtils?

Other than that try # modprobe acpi-cpufreq as ROOT
