Gmail manipulation?

Hey,

I wanna make a script that will manipulate my GMail account.
I want it to look for a certain mail daily, and download its attachments and save them
in different directories, according to the attachments filenames.

Can some one direct me to GMail's APIs, or any other relevant material?

imap. Particularly offlineimap downloads to maildir format. From there, you have to deal with the individual messages.

You may want to look at "libgmail" it provides python bindings for googlemail that may be of some use for what you are trying.
