[solved]ahhh! noob to fluxbox, n it isnt goin well!

hi,

i used kde on arch for a few months, but a couple of days ago, i moved to fluxbox! it was going ok, a few teething problems, but ok!

i have kdebase installed as i like to use ksmoothdock, but thats all i use from kde now. however after 2 days with fluxbox, kded started to spike on mem & cpu, so i rebooted! this is were my problem starts!!

my mouse is the issue! right click gives my flux menu, middle click gives a worktop menu, but left click does nothing!

so i opened my web browser by right clicking for the menu, navigating to opera, and hitting enter on the keyboard. opera came up, but i couldnt click anything, but links chage with mouse over! if i right click anywer in opera, i get my flux menu! middle click gives a worktop menu, but left click does nothing!

this is exactly the same for all other apps i tried! (mousepad, eterm, pidgin, xmms......)

i changed my ~/.xinitrc script and went back to kde, thats were i am now typing this! no problems in kde!!

help!! any ideas??

I think something similar happened to me back when I used fluxbox....I would check .fluxbox/keys for anything suspicious.

Check this post: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=656268

This guy had exactly the same problems in ubuntu and miggy appears to have the answer.  The above post might give you some more direction.
