I upgraded a few days ago and as a result I got the new evolution (2.22) which is closely linked with gnome-keyring for storing passwords.
As of the upgrade I was asked for the passwords every time I opened evolution.
As a result I looked on internet and modified /etc/pam.d/kde and /etc/pam.d/system-auth and /etc/pam.d/password by following the advices from:
http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-64 … ight-.html
(I modified /etc/pam.d/kde as I use KDE and do not have gdm as in the page from gentoo forums).
After I did the modifications, I was not asked for passwords for the next few logins.
However , from time to time I get asked for the passwords for the different accounts I have configured in evolution.
In any way I have looked at the problem I did not find any logic in the moment I am asked for the passwords.
Any idea where to get some more info or to solve this problem?

Have a look also to Gnome's bug tracker : it seems this Evolution version is not that good ![]()
Mandrake (2001) -> Debian (2002) -> Nasgaia (2003) -> LFS (2004) -> FreeBSD (2004) -> Gentoo (2005) -> Kubuntu (2006) -> Archlinux (2007) -> ?
Will Archlinux finally be THE distro of my dreams ? Time will say, but its on the way ![]()

mersi beaucoup
it seems this is connected to my problem.
however the passwords in my keyring are not destroyed when I enter the passwords for the digital signatures (gpg).
