xmms or audacious & the cross fader?

hi,

i cant get the cross fading plugin to work on either xmms or audacious! i downloaded the source code for xmms-audacious, compiled and installed it! then i started xmms up, and the plugin in was there, i tried to configure it, but it never cross fades anything!!

so i closed xmms and opened audacious, as this plugin apparently works with both, but the plugin wasnt even reckognised!

anyone else had this problem?
