what's up with PAWM?

the puto whatever tf it is window manager. i installed it using pacman -S pawm, put "exec pawm" in .xinitrc, did startx and i'm in. all there is is a power button a hidden panel. there's nothing else on the panel. none of the mouse buttons do anything. there are no keyboard shortcuts. finally, i went back into .xinitrc and did "exec xterm & pawm" instead. back in, and using screen with xterm, i can start whatever i want, of course, but i don't think that's how this mess is supposed to work. there are screen shots at their site - http://www.pleyades.net/pawm/ that show icons on the desktop - http://www.pleyades.net/pawm/images/scr/0001.png

any notions?

add: so far, i'm using it like a cheerful version of evilwm. i could do worse, i guess.

they probably expect you to use http://www.pleyades.net/pawm/utilities.php those.

archlinux - please read this and this — twice — then ask questions.

well, i saw those, but i was kind of puzzled why something like those utilities weren't included in the repos if they're needed to run pawm the way it was intended to be run.

add: now that i look at them, and given the way i've been using it, i think it's fine the way it is. except for the nice colors, the win.decs and the nice fonts, it's a lot like evilwm.
