choppy sound in teamspeak

hi guys smile
i got a sound problem concerning teamspeak: everything's working fine (working mic, join servers, etc.) except the incoming sound or rather the sound i hear when teamspeak's running. the ts system sounds and voices are really choppy  hmm

some info:
generally start ts by typing "aoss /opt/teamspeak/TeamSpeak" in the console.
teamspeak2 built from aur
using arch with kdemod: soundserver is configured and running
everybody on the server can understand me clearly

i would be glad for any advice smile

Re: choppy sound in teamspeak

you can use artsdsp, if you use arts
the fastest wrapper for dsp devices would be joss which uses jackd
Or you can let teamspeak run natively using (and locking) the oss audio device, who cares as long as the game you want to play doesn't need /dev/dsp free
