Hi,
After system crashed due to unexpected powers supply interrupt, I get the same message when the system trying to mount the drives ( at the start of the booting process) --
--Cannot open mtab file for writing Stale NFS file hadle.
Actually I do not use NFS at all. Mounting partitions with -n option is ok.
How to repair mtab file? Any clue?

shutdown -Fr
solved the problem. Actually bad inode.
