suspend/hibernate: just about

the last domino to fall.  I have pretty much everything else working on my new hp laptop.  I've been looking over the wiki suspend to disk pages, and was wondering if anybody has any opinion about which of the options I should go with.  I'm tending toward ususpend and pm-utils.  that sound ok? 

any words of warning or encouragement before I take the plunge?
