evolution and gnome time applet (when clicked) crashes

hey all, just wondering if I'm missing some support package or if this is a bug I haven't been able to find... when I click on the time applet (which should run a calendar app or whatever) in gnome 2.22, it crashes instead. It seems likely related also, but evolution crashes when I run it... any thoughts?

thanks smile

Any error message when you start evolution from a terminal?

Re: evolution and gnome time applet (when clicked) crashes

this is all the output from launching evolution-- obviously I cant get the command line output from clicking on the clock applet, but I'd assume theres similar reason behind it. This is the same if I remove .evolution

Re: evolution and gnome time applet (when clicked) crashes

Hi! I'm getting exactly the same errors... I tryed upgrading, but it didn't solve the problem... I've been looking around for a solution but I couldn't.

When I try to execute time-admin, I get this error:

(time-admin:5477): Gtk-WARNING **: Unsupported tag for GtkWidget: atkproperty

(time-admin:5477): Gtk-WARNING **: Unsupported tag for GtkWidget: atkproperty

(time-admin:5477): Gtk-WARNING **: Unknown property: GtkCalendar.display-options

** (time-admin:5477): WARNING **: Could not open */usr/share/zoneinfo/zone.tab*

** ERROR **: Unable to load system timezone database.
aborting...
7fc30205-d438-0aff-0b13fe03-21babbec is dumped

And yes, the file zone.tab doesn't exist, but I don't know which package includes it...

With Evolution things are similar... I can't load it. Only when I use the option --disable-epluging I can make it work, but then when I click on Edit->Preferences, it crashes with this error:

(evolution:5736): evolution-mail-WARNING **: Cannot activate OAFIID:GNOME_Spell_Dictionary:0.3
34428a91-92aa-79d2-3b565e17-6773d7a8 is dumped

Has anyone found a solution for these problems?

Thanks!

Re: evolution and gnome time applet (when clicked) crashes

[jan@jan ~]$ pacman -Qo /usr/share/zoneinfo/zone.tab
/usr/share/zoneinfo/zone.tab is owned by tzdata 2008c-1
