Which version is the best?

I want to start using Archlinux but when I tryed to download do ISO I came across with three diferent versions:

2007.08
2008.03
2008.04-RC

Which one should I download and what are the diferences between then?

Arch Linux operates on a rolling release system.  That means you get the new versions of programs as they come out.  So you can start with any of these then update to the latest versions of the software.   The 2008.04-RC is the latest so it would be best.

go for the RC, it is great, I installed from it. The only difference between that and the 2007 version is that the RC has the latest version of the software included (which you would get after updating a system installed from the 2007 disc) and there is space invaders included

Not quite. 2007.08, at the very least, can not perform FTP installs.

Also, the RC has just one pacman server list, the older ones have a list for each repo, made everything a hell of a lot harder for me.

Install whatever one and run

pacman -Syu

first thing you do in the system

The updated mirrorlist will be there too. Just say yes when it asks to update pacman

The 2007.08-2ftp iso will fail unless you "hack" it a bit, due to the changes in pacman 3.0/3.1, and some changes to the repos.

Also, the 2008.03 and 2008.04 iso's got better network support anyway
