[solved] XFCE's desktop icons way too close to the upper panel

When I start XFCE, the desktop icons are trying to cuddle the panel. I don't want to mean to them, but I think they need more time to get to know each other before they start getting too intimate.  Here are some pics, they're safe for work.

I want them to be like more like this upon bootup.

Any caretakers of XFCE components know how I can take care of this?  Much appreciated!

Have you checked the ~/.config/xfce4/desktop/icons.screen0.rc file??  if you move the icons, the file will change and if you logout and log back in check the file again and see if the positioning changes.

Checking "Save session for future logins" on a log out fixed the problem smile
