ndiswrapper installing on stock arch kernel and not on my custom kerne

i have updated my system and the "stock" arch kernel is now 2.6.25.4-1 and ndiswrapper works on that kernel.

i want to get ndiswrapper to work on my custom kernel 2.6.25.4. whenever i do modprobe ndiswrapper as root, it tells me fatal: module ndiswrapper not found. i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling ndiswrapper thru pacman and it seems to install to the "stock" arch kernel and not to my custom kernel. any ideas?

Re: ndiswrapper installing on stock arch kernel and not on my custom kerne

You have to build it to match your kernel. The ndiswrapper package is built for the standard kernel.

If you want it for your kernel, either grab the source from the ndiswrapper site and do it yourself, or edit the PKGBUILD and adapt for your kernel.
