pacman and mirrorslist

i just changed my preferred repo server, and when i did pacman -Syu now it show a lot of warnings:
warning: transmission: local (1.21-1) is newer than extra (1.11-1)
and similar to this with other packages.

And when i checked the repo on other packages i discovered that packages that I know have recently been updated are not in this repo, for example the kernel:

[root@]# pacman -Ss kernel26
core/kernel26 2.6.24.4-1 (base)
    The Linux Kernel and modules

Is it my fault or is this repo out of date, if so isn't kinda bad?

it's a british repo:

Here is a page with all the mirror status: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=49203

It looks like the mirror you switched to has not been updating for 5 days.
