Maybe both additions and deletions should be voted like digg. They stay in a queue until they get N votes. 24 TUs. 7150 packages in unsupported. TU moderation is not going to happen.

I want my *-ubuntu packages back
Offline
i have all the packages. if you want i can upload them and try to maintain them
Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

That would be extremely awesome. I would do it except I have no idea how to and I'm insanely busy with exams at the moment :-P However I think someone tried to do it before and they couldn't because of the existing *-ubuntu packages on the server. This may require the intervention of a higher power.

if a TU can assign that packages to me it will awesome. if not then delete them and i will upload them

Thanks Those 4 are all of the ones I've got installed. I don't know if there are any more which I don't use though.

There is still no libxft-ubuntu or fontconfig-ubuntu. I know I'm impatient but I just wanted to remind whoever needs to do something about it.

Ok thanks. Just as long as you haven't forgotten about them I really need to learn how to use the AUR...maybe after my exams I'll adopt some packages

Sorry to bump again but this problem still exists and the current versions are out-of-date and impossible to update.

Thanks Shame the freetype2 patch isn't up-to-date Pacman is not happy as the latest version of libxfont apparently depends on freetype2>=2.3.7. My system seems fine though except for a bit of font weirdness in firefox (which I probably caused).

Since you have to be a member, and logged into aur, to adopt a package, isn't there a way for the server to record the owner of the package when it's adopted/deleted? It seems like it wouldn't be that difficult to identify the user/culprit who is abusing aur. If so, they could banned from logging into aur, or from the arch community altogether. Maybe I'm being naive? It's a real shame that someone would do this! *sigh*
It makes you wonder how long it would be before someone strategically starts adding bad info to the wiki that may not be that easy to catch, or deleting very useful info, as it's very accessable to members for editing.
