cyrillic names & ntfs & automount

files with cyrillic names seem to appear only after manual mounting of the ntfs partition.
here is a line from my fstab:

/dev/sda1 /media/sda1 ntfs-3g rw,users,gid=95,dmask=0002,fmask=0007,nls=utf8 0 0

locale is set as
LOCALE="en_US.utf8"

i tried to add mounting of the ntfs partitions to rc.local? but it works the same...

Try this option:

locale=en_US.utf8

In fstab, that is.
