Improving virtualbox gfx performance?

Hi, I'm running Archlinux in Virtualbox at work, on a Windows XP host. I've installed the vbox xorg driver etc, and this is the performance I get:

GtkPerf 0.40 - Starting testing: Thu May 29 08:24:17 2008

GtkEntry - time: 0,17
GtkComboBox - time: 3,57
GtkComboBoxEntry - time: 2,78
GtkSpinButton - time: 0,51
GtkProgressBar - time: 0,22
GtkToggleButton - time: 0,61
GtkCheckButton - time: 0,44
GtkRadioButton - time: 0,64
GtkTextView - Add text - time: 1,35
GtkTextView - Scroll - time: 1,07
GtkDrawingArea - Lines - time: 4,58
GtkDrawingArea - Circles - time: 6,07
GtkDrawingArea - Text - time: 3,14
GtkDrawingArea - Pixbufs - time: 0,31
 ---
Total time: 25,54

Is there any way to improve this? I guess the 2D performance isn't that bad after all, I just want to squeeze out all the performance of this virtual machine. smile

I'm using xfce with the default theme btw, can using another theme increase the performance?

Thanks,

Mathias
