Sauerbraten configuration

Supposedly sauerbraten creates a temp config.cfg with the changed settings for the current game settings, does anyone know where this is placed so I can just copy the contents over?

Sauerbraten tries to write configs to the .cfg files located on  /opt/sauerbraten/

Change the owner (i.e. with chown) of that files and sauerbraten should save the configuration properly.
