Hi everybody.
I have a long time seaching this packaga on the servers, repos, and whatever that shows google... but without success.
The only driver that always work perfect for me, in all the distros that i test with him its the version 8.45-8.47, corresponding to catalyst-8.02, and catalyst 8.3.
When i update to catalyst-8.5 everything fail, slow rendering, bad compiz,... so i have change my hard drive an know i cant find that version of the package anywhere....
Could you point me in the right direction ? somebody has in his local package queue this version ?
Really thanks in advance!! ![]()

You can use ABS to build catalyst 8.3. I don't think the packaging has changed, so you'll simply have to modify the $pkgver and change the md5sum and it should build. If you're using kernel 2.6.25, however, you will have to scrounge up a patch to compile on the newer kernel.

Well.. i read a lot of stuff about this, and i dont understand how can i patch the running kernel :S.... I even wanna gensplash and cant get that working...
But i must ask, ¿ Some charity soul has in is local pacman cache the package of Catalyst 8.3, or even 8.4 ?, with that i don't need abs or patch the kernel...

I have
catalyst-8.3-2-i686.pkg.tar.gz
on my local server.
Will that work?
