Arch kernel is wrong or ubuntu kernel is great

I have ZXDSL 852 v2
lsusb show:
0483:0138 SGS Thomson Microelectronics
It require unicorn_usb_eth module
I compiled it and modprobed.
When I connecting modem i have this error on dmesg:

well...
you could try to compile a new (vanilla) kernel with the ubuntu .config
if it still not work then probably the ubuntu devs applied some patch that fixed the problem...

Now i'm compiling my own kernel (vanilla) with my config... If it doesn't work i try build it with ubuntu .config
But...where I can find it?

Well, you can take a look at the patches that arch applies http://projects.archlinux.org/?p=linux- … 08;hb=HEAD and see which one interferes with your module.

"A bug" here can only mean that some of the patches that are applied breaks your module; or that some config option needed for your module is not enabled (compare them).

You may want to check if ubuntu uses the same version of the module as arch before you file a bugreport.
If they are not the same version, the difference between working/not working might be in the module and not in the kernel...

Might be good to post that in the bug-report as well...
