ath5k and AR5211 support

As far as I know, ath5k is supposed to support AR5211 devices such as my AR5007EG. However, when I load the module it gives me this:

ath5k_pci 0000:03:00.0: registered as 'phy0'
ath5k phy0: failed to resume the MAC Chip
ath5k_pci: probe of 0000:03:00.0 failed with error -5

Are there options I can pass it in modprobe.conf to fix this, or am I still stuck with ndiswrapper?

Re: ath5k and AR5211 support

I don't have an AR5211, but when I load ath_pci, ath_hal reports that it is using the HAL for the following chipsets:
AR5210, AR5211, AR5212, AR5416, RF5111, RF5112, RF2413, RF5413, RF2133

I don't know if that means ath_pci supports it or not, but it looks likely. So maybe you can try the older madwifi driver if you can't get ath5k working (yet!) and are faced with using ndiswrapper. On the other hand, getting ath_pci to work with your card looks like a little bit of work.
