execute an ncurses application from pypanel

hi all,
I've got a little (well.. a lot) newbie question here..
do you know how to make a launcher for an ncurses application (in my case "htop") in pypanel?

something like:

 ("htop", "icon_name.png"),

doesn't work...
I think something that starts a console and then execute the program in it...

your_term -e your_app (xterm -e htop)
