impossible to login to KDE as a user

Hi all, I have just installed Arch Linux with the latest RC install CD. Everything went well besides when I want to login KDM as a user (pavanpe) it logs in but I get a unable to startup kstartupconfig please check your installation configuration error message. The only way to log in KDE is to login as root. Can anybody help me?

Re: impossible to login to KDE as a user

If you created you user with Kuser, you should notice that the new user by the default setting is disabled, you should edit the user and enable it.edit the user and unchoose "Account disabled" on the "User Info" page.

You also may want to check to see if your permissions are alright with /tmp. You can try as root:

chmod 1777 /tmp
