i just did a pacman -Syu and got the following warning!
[root@arch danny]# pacman -Syu
:: Synchronising package databases...
core is up to date
extra is up to date
community is up to date
:: Starting full system upgrade...
warning: iproute: local (070710-1) is newer than core (2.6.24_rc7-1)
local database is up to date

If you didn't install a different iproute version manually (not from the official repositories), then you should do:
pacman -S iprouteand simply reinstall iproute and all should be fine.
