I see a lot of people on these forums/irc/any other arch place using vimperator - so who here uses conkeror?
Its a standalone browser based on xulrunner and emacs. Its not as quite as feature rich as firefox3 (so hence vimperator) but its getting better all the time. If you have spent any time in emacs, its quick to pick up the basic shortcuts and is pretty intuitive
So yeh, spread the conkeror loving. Now, if someone made a conkeror.el - then we would be talking!

I used to use Conkeror before I started using FF3. I loved it, but I wasn't able to make the .config file work. So I was stuck with the default settings. I loved it, because it was very fast, but then I prefer the Vim keybindings, out of habits (and not being able to configure it was a big show-stopper).

Another converted conkeror user here :-), I've been using it for about a month now. I'm not sure what other configuration options there are in conkeror, but I've overidden the default font in the mini-buffer using userChrome.css and have used the adblock plugin (a must have feature which I've come to know and love after using firefox proper for this many years). It's quite fast, and I love the ability of being able to use emacs-like keybindings for the browser.

Now when the only dependence of conkeror - xulrunner 1.9 - in the extra, we can expect that conkeror will appear in a repo too ![]()
