I think the devs are doing a great job.  I think it's 100% understandable that volunteers will have other priorities sometimes.  I wonder if it would be possible to set it up so that if one developer is going to be unavailable (for whatever reason) for a while, someone else would be able to maintain the package in the mean time to handle any major issues that come up.

.....And we reach the end of another volatile thread.
Arch is growing fast and the devs are and have been doing a great job for years now.  The team is recruiting, and in the meantime, the distro is working beautifully for the vast majority of users.
Arch will continue to develop a top notch and high quality minimalist distro focused on code correctness over convenience within a rolling release model and targeted at competent GNU/Linux users who desire minimal code-separation from their machine and software.
