Hi, today I've upgraded my system with pacman and so I've installed the new version of gnome-settings-daemon and I've noticed that, I useo penbox, now when I start a session it appears the wallpaper I've choosed with xloadimage but then it appears the wallpaper of gnome session, it happens only from today that I've upgraded gsd, how can I resolve? Thanks

anyone could help me? i've also tried to remove the gnome-settings-daemon from my autostart.sh file but when i run a new session it is still runnning...

I found the solution.
1. Run gconf-editor
2. Go to apps/gnome_settings_daemon/plugins/background
3. Uncheck active

Great! so we have resolved this issue but i don't undestrand a thing, i've removed gnome-settings-daemon from the autostart.sh file but in the new session is still runiing, is it normal? Thanks

Maybe it is started with GDM....perhaps you can fiddle with GDM options to disable it somewhere....

I don't know i've also put the # before exec gnome-session in the .xinitrc file but it always loads the gnome-settings-daemon at the startup...

thanks moljac024 I've resolved this issue just comment the first line in the autostart.sh file, (. $GLOBALAUTOSTART) and so the start of openbox session doesn't load the gnome-settings-daemon ![]()
