[Solved] Pidgin - Spelling error... errors?

I'm just back to ARCH after going back to Ubuntu after going to ARCH from Ubuntu From Suse... (does your head hurt yet?)

I installed everything hunky dorey. And all is well. I even installed my first AUR thingy to get the real Firefox 3 *pats self on should*

And it's as awesome as I recall from my first venture into ARCH. However this time around Pidgin is reporting that every word I type is a misspelled word. I do have the option of "adding to dictionary" but don't feel like doing that every single time I type in a correctly spelled word. The spell check feature works correctly here in firefox.

The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog. (yay no spelling errors)

However the same sentence typed into pidgin has me seeing more red underlines than when I failed miserably at deconstructing sentences in English class in 2nd grade where you underline all the nouns once and the verb twice, circle the prepositions etc etc....

What steps do I take to correct this deficiency (see, I was gonna spell that as defficiency but spell check alerted me correctly here in firefox.)

install the aspell-en package, as well as all aspell-* packages you want for other languages.  i believe this should fix your issue.

archlinux - please read this and this — twice — then ask questions.

You are my lord and personal savior.

A placard of your avatar and screen name shall be placed upon the alter, my Buddha and Kuan Yin statues cast aside, and I shall venerate you for all eternity...

That is until my next ID-10-t error.
