Can't see the diffrence between single quote ' and tick ´

Hello!

I'm on a thinkpad x60 and I have rather strange problem imo.
No mather what font I try there's no diffrence between single quote ( ' ) and backtick ( ´ ).

Anyone got an idea :S

Some more informations would be great! What font do you use, what DE do you use, post a screenshot, does the problem exist on the console too, etc.

I use openbox, I've tried several fonts and they all give me this stange behavavior atm I'm using Cure from Artwiz.
Can xorg.conf and the keyboard layout has something to do with it?

i can see a difference in the photo the quote is bent and the backtick is straight

Check your keymap in rc.conf, use "us". This looks wrong, although there is a difference.
