Hi,
I've been gone for about a month and finally rebooted my computer. Unfortunately, when I decided to do a system update, I got the following errors:
error: could not prepare transaction
error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)
kernel26: /lib/modules/2.6.25-ARCH/modules.alias exists in filesystem
kernel26: /lib/modules/2.6.25-ARCH/modules.ccwmap exists in filesystem
kernel26: /lib/modules/2.6.25-ARCH/modules.dep exists in filesystem
kernel26: /lib/modules/2.6.25-ARCH/modules.ieee1394map exists in filesystem
kernel26: /lib/modules/2.6.25-ARCH/modules.inputmap exists in filesystem
kernel26: /lib/modules/2.6.25-ARCH/modules.isapnpmap exists in filesystem
kernel26: /lib/modules/2.6.25-ARCH/modules.ofmap exists in filesystem
kernel26: /lib/modules/2.6.25-ARCH/modules.pcimap exists in filesystem
kernel26: /lib/modules/2.6.25-ARCH/modules.seriomap exists in filesystem
kernel26: /lib/modules/2.6.25-ARCH/modules.symbols exists in filesystem
kernel26: /lib/modules/2.6.25-ARCH/modules.usbmap exists in filesystem
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.I saw the thing with gpm, and tried that. There also seemed to be something going on with a kernel update, so maybe it's that. Could anyone please help me?
Thanks

It seems your pacman database forgot about these files somehow... I would do a "pacman -Sf kernel26" to get rid of the errors then a "pacman -Syu"

That seemed to work. Thanks for the help!
