48 hours confirms my gratitude and love of all things ARCH

Hi....

Did what I set out to do and basically spent 2 full days [you know the dawn till 6 a.m. the next day type]
getting way further in my understanding.

I followed the wiki for beginners and install sections and they were SUCH a guide as I've never used before....!

I got a base only install on two external bootable usb drives running.... just the way I wanted... and then added and experimented...um...successfully!!!

I had a ton of things I didn't understand about linux and that was me for years and years.... in just 48 hours I have REALLY gotten to a point where what I need makes sense and is understood...

this is a THANK YOU  to the team and users here...  no more hand holding extra stuff everywhere... SO COOL!

AND also this is a confirmation for anyone like me who never quite got it with Linux....

I'd say just the wiki and the newbie sections etc. of the forum ...

Hey, I think I really like the UUID drive system as well...
I expect things will be even cooler in the next season or so...

Glad to be on board!

I'm glad you have good things to say about the documentation. It is a testament to all of the volunteered knowledge from the community.

Feels amazing to have had what I've had in the past 2 days... now I'm gonna do the ..oops things to do around here today.... AND... keeping all the cool stuff I learned AND applied in my head as I zip around today...

I'll be back tons!!!!!   have fun!

I use firefox and the scrapbook to grab lots of forum and wiki brilliance so i can read even when offline .....obviously.

Just wanted to say I had the same experience as you did. A little reading and  - - - it works
