There is a Claws Mail tray icon theme available on gnome-look.org:
http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/ … tent=71540
These are the instructions the author gives to install the theme:
Claws Mail Tango trayicon theme
Claws-Mail version = 3.3.0
copy icons claws-mail-3.3-0/src/pixmaps, recompile and install.
So what am I supposed to do (especially since the newest Claws Mail version is 3.4.0...)?

You have to download the source code of Claws-mail, unpack it, copy icons (first you have to unpack them) to /src/pixmaps/ in newly created Claws-mail directory and compile Claws-mail with usual routine: ./configure, make and make install (as root).:)

I would recommend using ABS. just makepkg -o first so the sources get DL'd and unpacked. copy your icons and makepkg -e so the sources are not extracted again and therefore your new icons overwitten.
finally, enjoy some awesomeness:

So, did you just do it? Would that be the result? Which icon theme are you using btw?

It's called Coon's Blue. Just DL the archive from the "official" claws themes page [ http://www.claws-mail.org/themes.php ]. This theme does include system tray icons as well. I hadn't consistent results with the built-in theme installer so I just unpacked this theme and overwrote all the icons in the sources using the method described above.
